Resource Center For Tornado Assistance To Open in Elkho ...

Douglas County Emergency Management Agency, in partnership with the Federal Emergency Management Agency, will open a Multi-Agency Resource Center for two
days beginning Thursday, May 9, at noon at the Elkhorn Suburban Fire District Education and Training Facility, 9301 N. 204th St., between Elkhorn and Bennington.

Many of the agencies represented are members of Nebraska Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters an association of organizations that mitigates and alleviates the impact of disasters, provides a forum for promoting cooperation, communication, coordination, and collaborations, and fosters more effective service delivery to communities affected by disasters.

Several organizations will provide a range of services and resources related to recovery, including but not limited to housing assistance, mental health support, and insurance information.

Hours: Noon - 8:00pm on Thursday, May 9, and 8:00am - 6:00pm Friday, May 10
