Profiles in Diversity Journal Recognizes Two Dechert Partners

Two Dechert LLP partners have been recognized by Profiles in Diversity Journal, which showcases and honors individuals who blaze new trails in advancing diversity and inclusion in the workplace and who excel in their chosen fields.

Nitya Kumar Goyal, a global finance partner in Dechert's commercial real estate finance team, was recognized in the publication's Asian Leaders Worth Watching Awards, established to honor those who through advocacy, perseverance, legacy or professional achievements have addressed racism and bias. At Dechert, Ms. Goyal has helped increase recruitment of lawyers from historically underrepresented backgrounds, devised a new training and mentoring initiative for junior colleagues, and helped drive mentoring within the firm's Asian-American affinity group and within its women's initiative. She also advocates for the advancement of women and diverse lawyers within the wider real estate finance industry and was recently singled out as "Diversity & Inclusion: Future Leader" by Chambers in its Diversity & Inclusion Awards for North America 2022. Angelina Liang, a global finance partner in Dechert's New York office, was named to the publication's Women Worth Watching in STEM Awards, established to celebrate women leaders who break barriers in the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Elevated to the partnership at Dechert in January 2022, Ms. Liang advises asset managers and other financial institutions on private credit transactions involving business development companies and other on- and off-balance sheet vehicles, applying mathematical processes to develop new structures that maximize deal flexibility for her clients. She was recently recognized in Chambers USA as an "Up and Coming" lawyer in New York for Banking & Finance and is also recognized for her work in commercial lending by The Legal 500 (US).
