Oklahoma Blood Institute officials were pleased with Southwestern Oklahoma State University's recent blood drive on the Weatherford campus.
OBI Account Consultant Emma Meyer said 179 donations were received during the December 3-4 drive.
'Since each donation can save three lives, that is 537 lives saved,' Meyer said. 'That is absolutely amazing, especially with a possible snow storm approaching and the busy holiday season.'
Meyer said SWOSU continues to be one of the OBI's most valued partners. Families in need of blood for family members are so appreciative of blood donors and their donations.
