5/6/24 Fatal Vehicle Accident
(PEORIA, IL) Saturday, May 4, 2024, at approximately 11:38 p.m. Peoria Police responded to a two-car accident in the 8400 block of N. Orange Prairie Road.
When officers arrived, they located two vehicles that struck each other head-on.
The driver of one of the vehicles' an adult female was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the second vehicle, an adult male was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The identity of the deceased and cause of death will be released by the Peoria County Coroner.
Members of the Peoria Police Department's Traffic Unit and Patrol Unit responded to the scene and initiated an investigation.
This incident remains under investigation. No arrest was made.
