'Within operation 'Putina', officers of the Russian MIA Administration for the Severo-Evensky District together with representatives of the FSB Border Administration for the Eastern Arctic District and the regional division of the Russian Guard detected two caches with nearly 1,700 kilograms of salmon caviar in a private household located in Gizhiga village of the Severo-Evensky Urban District.
According to the preliminary estimate, the inflicted damage approximates 4.5 million rubles.
The authorities are carrying out a pre-investigation check on that fact and are identifying the owner of the salmon caviar. The issue regarding initiation of a criminal case based on elements of a crime stipulated by Part 3 Article 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation is being settled,' said the Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
