These projects are weather permitting:

I-40 intermittently stopped at Garth Brooks Blvd. in Yukon nightly through Saturday

I-40 will be intermittently stopped in each direction between Garth Brooks Blvd. (mm 136) and Cimarron Rd. (mm 132) in Yukon from 8 p.m. Thursday to 6 a.m. Friday and again from 8 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday for bridge work as part of ongoing interchange construction.

Frisco Rd. to close at I-40 in Yukon through summer 2021

Frisco Rd. over I-40 is closed between 10th St. and Vandament Ave. through summer 2021 for construction of a new I-40 interstate interchange in Yukon. Additionally, N.W. 23rd St. will be closed to through traffic from Richland Rd. and Frisco Rd. through summer 2021. While Vandament Ave. is expected to remain open near I-40 during construction, motorists are advised to use caution and to watch for construction trucks and equipment moving in the area.

I-44 ramp to US-77 closes; I-235 narrows at I-44 Thursday night

The following closures will impact the westbound I-44 ramp to northbound US-77/Broadway Ext. and northbound I-235/US-77 between the I-44 interchange and N. 63rd St. from 7 p.m. Thursday to 3 a.m. Friday to prepare pavement for a I-44 ramp lane shift:

  • The westbound I-44 off-ramp to northbound US-77/Broadway Ext. will be closed;
  • The westbound I-44 off-ramp to southbound I-235/US-77 will be closed;
  • The westbound I-44 service road will be closed between the northbound US-77 and southbound I-235 ramp entrances;
  • The far right lane of northbound I-235 will be closed between I-44 and N. 63rd

Those traveling the area Friday morning should be alert to the new westbound I-44 to northbound US-77/Broadway Ext. ramp configuration, with traffic shifted onto new pavement to the west of the existing ramp lane. While the alignment is generally the same, motorists will be shifted to the west and merge into northbound US-77 at a different point further to the north. Caution is urged for those exiting at N. 63rd St. as ramp traffic merges in this area.

I-235/I-44 interchange work continues through 2021; expect lane shifts and intermittent ramp closures

Drivers should be alert to the following traffic impacts in the I-235/US-77 construction zone at I-44 for ongoing reconstruction and widening that continues through 2021:

  • Motorists should be alert to changing conditions including lane shifts, narrowed lanes and workers along northbound and southbound I-235 between N. 50th St. and N. 63rd St. and along eastbound and westbound I-44 between Western Ave. (mm 126) and Kelley Ave. (mm 128B).
  • Both I-235 and I-44 will be narrowed to two lanes in each direction during peak commute hours, but may narrow to one lane some nights and weekends. Eastbound and westbound I-44 lanes are shifted to westbound lanes (to the north) through early fall 2020.
  • Eastbound I-44 traffic planning to exit to southbound I-235/US-77, northbound I-235/US-77 or to southbound Lincoln Blvd. must stay in the far right lane starting at Western Ave. (mm 126) as they cannot access the exits from the through lanes while traffic is shifted to the north. Additionally, eastbound and westbound I-44 has limited merge areas at ramps in the work zone. Motorists should be prepared to stop and yield when entering I-44 in these areas.
  • Motorists traveling from northbound I-235 to westbound I-44 will need to be in the right lane of northbound I-235 and exit at N. 50th St. (mm 50B). Once on the ramp, stay to the left to access the one-lane ramp to westbound I-44 (mm 44A). There is a limited merge area at the end of the ramp onto westbound I-44. Be prepared to stop and yield to mainline I-44 traffic.
  • Motorists should be alert to the realignment of the northbound I-235 off-ramp to eastbound I-44. Additionally, eastbound I-44 remains narrowed to two lanes up to Kelley Ave. (mm 128B) and motorists are advised to use caution entering this area of the work zone.
  • Drivers are advised to use extra caution when merging onto southbound I-235/US-77 from N. 63rd St. as this on-ramp is shifted and there is a limited merge area.
  • The northbound I-235/US-77 off-ramp to N. 63rd St. will be narrowed to two lanes at the intersection with right turns allowed from the thru-lane starting through fall.
  • Motorists also should expect intermittent ramp closures throughout the project.
  • Drivers should plan ahead and use their Off Broadway alternate routes of I-35, I-40, SH-74/Lake Hefner Parkway and Martin Luther King Ave. to avoid the area.
