The 100 Best Young-Adult Books Of All Time

America's 'Time' magazine has compiled a list of the 100 Best Young Adult Books of All Time. Nearly a third of the books on the list are published by Penguin Random House. They include classics like 'The Diary of Anne Frank' and 'Lord of the Flies' by William Golding, as well as more recent bestsellers such as 'The Book Thief' by Markus Zusak and 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green.

America's 'Time' magazine has compiled a list of the Best Young Adult Books of All Time. The magazine touts the titles on the list as 'the most compelling, enlightening and influential young-adult books' published from the 19th century to the present day. Nearly a third of the selected titles are by authors published by Penguin Random House in the U.S. The books were selected by a panel of celebrated writers including Elizabeth Acevedo, Jason Reynolds, Adam Silvera, Angie Thomas, and Nicola Yoon. 'Young people are actually quite philosophical,' Nicola Yoon tells 'Time.' 'They're at the age when they're still becoming who they're going to be, asking themselves big questions like 'What's the meaning of life?' or 'How can I make the world a better place?' or 'Is there a God?'' 'Time' says books can make young people feel less alone during these formative years. Which is why, with the help of a panel of leading YA authors, the magazine has compiled this 'definitive list of the 100 Best YA Books of All Time.'
