Daines Secures More Than $15 Million in Funding for Montana Airports

U.S. SENATE- U.S. Senator Steve Daines today announced that more than $15 million will be directed towards strengthening Montana's air travel infrastructure.

'COVID-19 has been hard on Montana's tourism and aviation sectors. As we're working our way out of this pandemic and Montana airports begin to recover, it's critical that we support local infrastructure,' Daines said. 'These grants will deliver much needed economic relief to our airports and in turn help support hospitality jobs by bringing more visitors to our great state.'

The funding is part of the Airport Improvement Program (AIP) under the Department of Transportation. At the time of passage, Daines was a member of the Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Subcommittee and was instrumental in securing funding for the Airport Improvement Program.

The funding will be disbursed for the following airports:

  • $4,018,136.00 for Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport
  • $3,293,668.00 for Missoula International Airport
  • $2,754,654.00 for Glacier Park International Airport
  • $1,815,781.00 for Great Falls International Airport
  • $1,436,556.00 for Helena Regional Airport
  • $1,008,814.00 for Bert Mooney Airport
  • $1,003,466.00 for Sidney-Richland Regional Airport
  • $25,383.00 for Helena Regional Airport
  • $13,000.00 for the Libby Airport
  • $13,000.00 for Ronan Airport
  • $13,000.00 for Cut Bank International Airport
  • $13,000.00 for Polson Airport
  • $13,000.00 for Conrad Airport
  • $13,000.00 for Eureka Airport
  • $13,000.00 for Wokal Field/Glasgow-Valley County Airport
  • $9,000.00 for Big Timber Airport
  • $9,000.00 for Lincoln Airport
  • $9,000.00 for Terry Airport
