Hidden Human Computers: The Black Women of NASA

The San Diego Public Library and the University of San Diego welcome Duchess Harris, Ph.D. to the Central Library on Saturday, Feb. 24 and to USD on Monday, Feb 26 for a discussion about the black women who worked at NASA in the 1950s. A granddaughter of one of these women, Miriam Mann, Harris will share the experiences and stories of her grandmother as one of eleven black women 'human computers' at NASA. Both events are free to attend but seating is limited.
