Yesterday, Congressman Justin Amash stood in the way of an overwhelming bipartisan coalition that moved to stop insider trading.
That's right, Amash was one of just thirteen members of congress to oppose legislation that better defines insider trading to make the crime easier to prosecute.
'With yesterday's vote, Congressman Amash went further than even the most stalwart conservatives in Washington, voting to continue a system that has allowed the wealthy to further consolidate their wealth, leaving everyone else behind,' said DCCC Spokesperson Sarah Guggenheimer. 'For all his rhetoric, Amash's actions are a stark reminder to Michigan's 3rd congressional district that when it comes to the issues that really matter to hardworking families, he will always fall short.'
