Media Advisory: President Cyril Ramaphosa to Answer Questions in the National Assembly

Parliament, Wednesday 28 September 2022 - President Cyril Ramaphosa will appear in the National Assembly hybrid plenary sitting tomorrow at 14:00 to provide oral replies to questions from Members of the House. The President will also deal with the supplementary questions to Question No 11 from the sitting of 30 August.

Oral question sessions with the President are scheduled at least once a quarter during session time within Parliament's annual programme. Questions for Oral Reply sessions are one of the mechanisms Parliament uses to hold the Executive to account - as stipulated in Section 92(2) of the Constitution that Cabinet Members are accountable collectively and individually to Parliament for the exercise of powers and performance of their functions.

The Oral and Answer session will be preceded by the NA Programme Committee meeting at 08:30, the last meeting of the third term.

The Committee meeting will, among other matters, consider the draft programme, committee reports, and Bills before the NA.
