City of Calgary responds to Provincial decision on Step 2 restrictions

March 1, 2021

The Government of Alberta today announced some easing of restrictions as part of Step 2 in its phased plan to ease some health measures in place to protect the health system and slow the spread of COVID-19.

We are currently working through the updated Provincial public health measures to understand their impacts on our own operations, services and facilities. More information on specific programs and services will be updated on Calgary.ca/covid19 as it becomes available.

In the meantime, please continue to follow restrictions that remain in effect, which can be found atwww.alberta.ca/covid19. The City acknowledges how difficult restrictions have been for individuals, families, businesses, and the mental and economic health of our city and we thank all Calgarians and businesses for their efforts to follow Provincial health orders. We encourage Calgarians to continue to adhere to all public health guidance as we work together to reduce the threat to our health and our health care system.
