The Breakfast Club plays at 'Summer Sounds on the Green' on Aug. 18

On Thursday, August 18, The Breakfast Club will close out this year's "Summer Sounds on the Green"summer concert series!

The Breakfast Club is a high-energy rock/dance 80's tribute band whose playlist is hit after hit. They'll bring the house down with non-stop audience shouts of "I love this song!" Moonwalk down memory lane as they spin you right 'round to all the radical sounds, styles, and way cool dance steps from the 1980s in over-the-top retro 80s attire.

The show begins at 7 p.m. at the Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green and is sponsored by the Hoffman Estates Arts Commission and the Hoffman Estates Park District.

The Virginia Mary Hayter Village Green is located at 5510 Prairie Stone Parkway, across the street from the NOW Arena in the Poplar Creek at 59/90 "Entertainment District." Admission is free.Bring a blanket or a lawn chair to the amphitheater. Picnics are welcome! The Hideaway Beer Garden will be offering a wide variety of food, craft beers and cocktails for purchase by Summer Sounds patrons. Weather permitting, the Hideaway will be open until 10 p.m. on Thursdays.
