The New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation in Williamson reports the arrest of a Wayne County man for child exploitation charges following an investigation.

Geoffrey C. Havranek, age 30, of Sodus, NY, was charged with seven counts of Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (E Felony). This arrest is subsequent to a several-month investigation after the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received a cyber tipline report. It is alleged that Havranek possessed multiple images and videos of minor children engaged in sexually explicit situations. On April 12, 2024, Havranek was processed at SP Williamson and issued appearance tickets returnable to the Sodus Town Court on May 6, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
