Homeware brand Dunelm has signed a new lease on the 45,000 sq ft former Dunnes Stores unit, while B&M has committed to 16,064 sq ft in what was the Watts Brothers store.
Senior asset manager at Edinburgh House Estates, Ross Campbell, says: 'Despite the current challenges within the retail sector, we have seen a number of new deals in Clyde and are delighted to attract Dunelm and B&M. We've been working really hard to ensure that we bring the right brands to the centre and building on our strong loyal catchment. We do a lot of research into what our shoppers want and Dunelm and B&M is what people want to see at the centre.'
Isla Monteith, director in the retail team at Savills Scotland, comments: 'We are delighted to have secured these two significant anchor lettings at Clyde Shopping Centre which together reinforce the centre as being the go-to retail destination for the local community. In addition to welcoming new retailers to the centre, we have retained a number of other key tenants despite the challenging retail landscape.'
