Zhunneng Group Successfully Completes the Trial Combustion Test of New Nano-Hydrocarbon Platform

On September 12, 2022, with a complete success in the trial combustion test of new nano-hydrocarbon platform, CHN Energy Zhunneng Group successfully accessed all parameters and indicators in the setting range, achieved expected goals, and laid foundation for the formal trial combustion of this platform.

In recent years, CHN Energy Zhunneng Group has been endeavoring in the utilization of high-alumina coal resources under the low-carbon recyclable economy pattern. For many years, by actively propelling the transformation of coal from "fuel" to "fuel and raw material", CHN Energy Zhunneng Group unremittingly promotes research projects to extract high-purity aluminum oxide from fly ash.

In 2021, under the principle of " Resources Reduction, Recycle and Reuse", it launched preparation experiments on high-efficiency and clean coal-based special fuel. Through the introduced nanotechnology, it successfully makes the best use of self-produced coal to produce Nano-Hydrocarbon Fuel. This new type of environmental-friendly fuel is characterized by high combustion efficiency, low pollutant emission, significant reduction in coal consumption for power generation and low cost for hydrogen empowerment.

CHN Energy Zhunneng Group launched "Reconstruction of Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler as a Supportive Project of Aluminum-Silicon Powder Prepared by Nano-hydrocarbon Fuel". Technology roadmap is developed for the fourth-generation circulating fluidized bed combustion with nano-hydrocarbon as fuel to manufacture aluminum-silicon powder efficiently. The high-activity ultra-fine aluminum-silicon powder, produced in low-temperature combustion, could raise the aluminum oxide extraction rate by 10%. Moreover, transformed boilers in the project are converted into the source of raw material, power and steam, becoming the input end of the circular economy process chain. In this way, CHN Energy Zhunneng Group sharply cuts the electricity cost, and advances the circular development in a green, ecological and environment-friendly manner.
