The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the person responsible for at least four South Florida bank robberies.
Investigators have identified this bank robber as the 'Tie Dyed Bandit' because it is believed that he set off a bank dye pack in his getaway vehicle following at least one of the robberies.
It is believed that the 'Tie Dyed Bandit' was involved in the following South Florida bank robberies:
The bank robber should be considered armed and dangerous.
An FBI Special Agent will be available for sound between 1:30 p.m. until 3 p.m. today at the FBI's Miami field office at 2030 SW 145 Avenue in Miramar, Florida.
A second email containing a video clip of the getaway car following the discharge of the dye pack will follow.
Law enforcement agencies involved in this investigation include the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, FBI, and the FBI's South Florida Violent Crime Task Force.
The investigation continues.
