press release

On April 24, 2024, at approximately 9:36 a.m., State Police patrolled to N. Main Street in the village of Norwood for a property damage accident involving an ambulance.

An investigation determined a 2007 gold GMC, operated by Daniel N. Valyou, age 50, of Norwood, was backing out of a driveway when he failed to yield the right way striking a 2017 Seaway Valley Ambulance operated by Heidi N. Perez, age 41, of Norwood. The ambulance did not have any patients on board during this accident and no one was injured.

Valyou was issued two vehicle and traffic tickets for unsafe backing and failed to yield the right of way.
