On May 17, the International Day against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia is celebrated. This day represents the fight for rights and an end to violence against the LGBTQIA+ community.

it's time to learn

After all, do you know what LGBTphobia means? This word can be defined as rejection, fear, prejudice, discrimination, aversion, or hatred against any individuals because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Am I part of the problem?

LGBTphobia is not just about direct offenses and physical aggression. In fact, in everyday life it is much more common for it to manifest itself through microaggressions, which are subtle and end up belittling and disregarding others.

Microaggressions in everyday life

This kind of behaviour is not tolerated at Vale, is against our Code of Conduct, our Human Rights Policy and Guide, and the attitude we expect from our employees.

At Vale there is no room for prejudice

At our company, we value the plurality of our workforce and seek to create an environment of respect and acceptance of everyone's sexual orientation and gender identity. To promote inclusion and demystify stereotypes, we have launched several initiatives. Learn a little about our advances at Vale's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Report..
