The Lewisville Lake Symphony presents 'Potpourri,' on Friday, Nov. 15, 7:30 p.m., at Medical City Lewisville Grand Theater, 100 N. Charles Street.
A Sousa march, the 'Skaters Waltz,' Sibelius' 'Finlandia,' and Aaron Copland's 'Fanfare for the Common Man' - these are just a few of the familiar melodies that the Lewisville Lake Symphony will perform at this concert that features audience favorites from the concert repertoire. 'Maestro Ming's Musical Moments' provide a bonus as Music Director and Conductor Adron Ming discusses each selection with the audience and provides fascinating tidbits of information about each piece to set the stage for the music.
Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $10 for students and can be purchased online at LewisvilleSymphony.org.
The Lewisville Lake Symphony is one of eight local groups receiving funding from a City of Lewisville grant program designed to foster cultural and fine arts in the community.
Located in the heart of historic downtown Lewisville, MCL Grand is the premier public arts facility in Southern Denton County. The 40,000-square-foot facility features a 296-seat proscenium theater, black box theater, dance recital hall, art gallery, five art classrooms and a large courtyard. Medical City Lewisville has a multi-year agreement with the city for naming rights at the center.
To reach MCL Grand from Interstate 35E, take exit 452 and proceed east on Main Street to Charles Street. MCL Grand will be on the left. Free public parking is available along Main and Church streets, or at Lewisville City Hall across Church Street from the center.
