Intersection Improvement Project Continues on Route 42 in Hemlock Township, Columbia County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that an intersection improvement project at the intersection of Route 42 (Mall Boulevard) and Route 4003 (Frosty Valley Road) continues next week in Hemlock Township, Columbia County.

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024 and Wednesday, May 15, 2024, Frosty Valley Road will be closed between Mall Boulevard and Route 4006 (School House Road), while the contractor paves. A detour using School House Road, Route 44 (Buckhorn Road), and Mall Boulevard will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, weather permitting.

Local traffic will have access to businesses and homes along Frosty Valley Road, but will not be able to exit onto Mall Boulevard.

Don E. Bower is the prime contractor for this intersection improvement project which will include the installation of a traffic signal. Work on the project will include road widening and addition of turn lanes. The project is expected to be completed in June of 2024, weather permitting. Hemlock Township is the sponsor of this project.

Motorists should be alert, slow down, expect delays in travel, and drive with caution through the work zone.
