Traffic Advisory for Fourth of July, Salute to Freedom Event

The Panama City Salute to Freedom event on July 4th at the Panama City Marina area will include a parade, festival, and fireworks display downtown.

The boat ramp at the Panama City Marina will close at Midnight on the morning of July 4th. All vehicles and trailers must be removed at this time or will be towed at the owner's expense. The boat ramp will reopen on July 5th.

The parade begins at 3 p.m. at 8th Street and Harrison Avenue, traveling south to McKenzie Park. There will be 'No Parking' signs placed along the parade route on Harrison Avenue and Oak Avenue from Noon until 4 p.m. All vehicles parked on the parade route during this time will be towed at the owner's expense.

The fireworks begin at 9 p.m. The public should also expect road closures on Harrison Avenue south of 11th Street prior to and during the parade and congested traffic after the fireworks. There will be limited parking at the festival and fireworks site.
