Public Health and Human Services measures interest in Novavax COVID-19 vaccine

(COLUMBIA, MO)- The Novavax COVID-19 vaccine is being offered by Columbia/Boone County Public Health and Human Services (PHHS) and those interested in receiving the Novavax vaccine can fill out an interest form below.

Novavax is only for individuals 18 and older who have not received any other COVID-19 vaccine dose and it can not be used as a booster for another brand of COVID-19 vaccine.

Due to the limited supply of Novavax and in an effort to reduce waste of the vaccine, PHHS will attempt to schedule interested residents in groups. Those interested in receiving Novavax are asked to complete the form to provide information about availability: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSckypKJ6cNVqDchGDmXo7frX81qPEa2RXQfN-R6Wds4FcUBEw/viewform?usp=sf_link

Novavax is a protein subunit vaccine, a type used safely in the U.S. for over 30 years, similar to the Hepatitis B vaccine. There are two doses in the primary series, given three to eight weeks apart.

Novavax and other vaccines reduce the risk of COVID-19, including severe illness and death.
