The President condoled President Sisi and Pope Tawadros II, for the victims of the church fire.

President Aoun hoped for a speedy recovery to the wounded.

President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, called his Egyptian counterpart, Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and offered him condolences for the victims of the fire at Abu Sefein Church in Giza Governorate in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

The President also hoped for a speedy recovery for the wounded.

For his side, President El-Sisi thanked President Aoun and briefed him on the circumstances of the fire.

Moreover, the President called Copts Pope, Tawadros II, and condoled him asking God for mercy and a speedy recovery for the wounded.

On the other hand, Pope Tawadros II expressed his gratitude for the affection President Aoun expressed towards the painful affliction on members of his sect.​
