A woman was killed in a two-car crash last night on Gallatin Pike North and both drivers have been charged as a result. The preliminary investigation shows a Honda Civic was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck a Chevrolet S-10 truck while the truck was pulling out of a driveway.

The collision split the truck into two pieces and killed the passenger, Alexandra Lloyd, 30. Lloyd was pronounced dead at Skyline Medical Center.

Lloyd's husband and the driver of the Chevrolet truck, Jeremy Mooneyhan, 32, was also transported to Skyline where a search warrant was obtained for his blood sample after detectives found multiple needles in and around the truck as well as two doses of Narcan. A small drug kit with a white powder, needles and tourniquet was also located on scene.

Mooneyhan was charged with driving under intoxication, simple possession, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a revoked license, and proof of financial responsibility.

The driver of the Honda Civic, Felix Perez-Morente, 18, also had a search warrant obtained for his blood sample after he admitted to consuming alcohol. Upon his release from Skyline, Perez-Morente was charged with consumption of alcohol under 21, aggravated assault by reckless conduct with the use of a deadly weapon, vehicular homicide by intoxication, proof of financial responsibility, and not having a driver's license.
