Paris, the Italian Rugby Federation at the Embassy for the National Made in Italy Day

The Italian Embassy in Paris hosted the Italian Rugby Federation on the occasion of the match between the Italian and French women's national teams, in the framework of the Six Nations Tournament held in Paris last Sunday.

The event, organised in collaboration with the Paris office of ICE Agenzia and the Italian Rugby Federation, focused on the link between sport and Made in Italy, with particular reference to the food and wine sector and the excellence of Italian products that were presented on the occasion.

Organised within the framework of the initiatives planned for the first National Made in Italy Day, the event saw speeches by the Vice President of the Italian Rugby Federation, Giorgio Morelli, the Director of the ICE Paris Office, Luigi Ferrelli, and Italian Rugby legends Marco Lazzaroni, Sara Barattin and Leonardo Ghilardini, as well as the captain of the Italian Women's National Rugby Team, Elisa Giordano.

In her speech, Ambassador d'Alessandro said: "Sport is increasingly a central element in international and diplomatic relations: a very important tool to strengthen and improve them. It is also an important tool for promoting Made in Italy in the world, which is particularly appreciated by France, which in 2023 imported Italian goods worth more than 63 billion Euros, thus reaffirming the strategic importance of the French market for our country."

The event was attended by over one hundred participants, including journalists, economic operators, and representatives of the institutional and sports worlds.
