Rep. Veasey Passes Critical Security Funding Bills that Support Allies, Delivers Critical Humanitarian Aid

This weekend, Rep Veasey of the House Armed Services Committee released the following statement after he voted to pass national security supplemental bills:

"I am glad the House of Representatives finally passed the urgently needed bipartisan national security legislation that supports our vulnerable allies in Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific and delivers much-needed humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza and around the world.

"President Biden and Democrats in both chambers of Congress have advocated for this essential legislation, but far-right Republicans repeatedly held it up. That inaction changes with the passage of this package that will protect democracy and combat the authoritarian regimes we face."

"America is always strongest when we stand with our partners - not when we turn our back on them. I am proud to have voted on this package that President Biden will swiftly sign."
