The World Expo is one of the oldest and largest international exhibitions. It has been held every five years since 1851 and lasts up to six months. Expo 2020 is the first world fair to be held in the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA).
The Dubai Expo, scheduled for 2020, was postponed because of the coronavirus pandemic. The exhibition opened on 1 October 2021 and will close on 31 March 2022. The overall area of Expo 2020 is 438 hectares. It is expected to have 25 million visitors and 192 participating countries, which is a record number.
The Russia Pavilion theme is "Creative Mind: Driving the Future," and one of its main ideas is the call for cooperation, interaction and exchange of ideas. One of the largest at the Expo, the Russia Pavilion has a floor space of 3,630 square metres, is 26.6 metres high and has an overall area of over 4,500 square metres. Between 10,000 and 20,000 people visit Russia's pavilion every day.
