CALL FOR ENTRIES THE SUBJECTIVE PORTRAIT - REFLECTIONS OF OUR HUMANITY

February 16, 2022 - March 30, 2022 NRCA Rotunda Gallery at New Rochelle City Hall

We are living in extraordinary times - a global Pandemic, racial reckoning, food insecurity, education interrupted, democracy under siege, isolation and the challenge of living our lives, effectively, in a new space and time. These events impact humanity greatly and influence who we are. Portraiture can reflect our fluid history and amplify our stories.

All artists in the Tri-State Area, at any stage in their artistic careers, are encouraged to email up to three (3) submissions of portraiture to the New Rochelle Council on the Arts to be installed at the New Rochelle Council on the Arts (NRCA) Rotunda Gallery at City Hall, 515 North Ave., New Rochelle, NY 10801, as well as for inclusion in a Virtual Exhibition on YouTube. All original two- and three-dimensional wall-hung work, in all media, and a limited number of small free-standing works will be eligible for acceptance to be exhibited in glass cabinets for review as long as they meet all requirements (see specifications).

All work submitted must be available for exhibiting throughout the exhibition dates; substitutions will not be allowed. The final selection of work to be exhibited will be chosen by a committee representing the New Rochelle Council on the Arts Rotunda Gallery. This is an in-person and virtual exhibit and entries are photographic and must be submitted as jpegs. The quality of the photographs must be absolutely clear. Photographic images that do not meet the guidelines will not be considered.
