Xiaomi Welcomes Findings of the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security)

Beijing, CHINA, January 14th, 2022 - Xiaomi Corporation received communication from the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) on January 13 that it has completed its audit of Xiaomi smartphone products with a focus on Germany. The BSI concluded that it could not identify any anomalies that would require further investigation or other measures. In particular, the BSI could not detect any transfer of filter lists as described in the original report.

In response to this, Xiaomi spokesperson said, "Xiaomi is pleased that, the results of the investigation conducted by the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) published yesterday, confirm our commitment to operate transparently, responsibly and with the privacy and security of our customers as a top priority. It has proved that we adhere to all EU and national data privacy and security laws, as well as all applicable EU standards for devices.
