Partner Todd Canni was quoted in an article for Law360 titled "Biz Claims Foreign Bribe Needed to Meet Energy Deal's Terms." Published May 10, 2024, the article describes how the U.S. Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) is requiring interested contractors to obtain a Petroleum Activities License in order to be considered as a supplier of fuel to military bases in the Republic of Dijibouti. The license can allegedly only be obtained through bribery. According to Canni, the DLA is therefore allowing a "foreign corrupt government to subvert its procurement decisions."
