Rocket artillery of the Southern Military District (SMD) motorized rifle unit inflicted fire damage to the mock enemy's armored vehicles from more than 20 'Tornado-G' multiple launch rocket systems, destroying more than 15 armored objects during the practical actions of the troops (forces) of the maneuvers 'Kavkaz-2020' at the Prudboy training ground near Volgograd.
According to the plan of the exercise, the fire attack on armored vehicles and critical firepower of the advancing enemy at a range of more than 20 km was inflicted by divisions of self-propelled artillery of the 'Tornado-G' MLRS.
In the course of the task, the artillery units carried out a fire raid and destroyed enemy armored vehicles at strong points with salvo of rocket launchers.
During the fire, the 'Tornado-G' MLRS rained down about 500 missiles on the mock enemy in 20 seconds, leaving them with no chance of restoring their combat capability.
Video monitoring of the accuracy of fire damage was performed by units of unmanned aerial vehicles of the motorized rifle unit of the Southern Military District.
The maneuvers 'Kavkaz-2020' is being supervised by the Chief of the General Staff - First Deputy Minister of Defence of the Russian Federation from September 21 to 26, 2020 at the internal ranges of the Southern Military District, as well as in the waters of the Black and Caspian seas.
