The car’s the star in the Tuesday Market Place this September

Two popular car shows are returning to the Tuesday Market Place in King's Lynn this September and now's the time to register to display your car at them.

Mini Meet - Sunday 1 September 2024

The Mini Meet has made it a magnificent seven years of being held in the Market Place and is back on Sunday 1 September, from 10am until 3pm. 225 examples of this iconic car, both old and new, are invited to register to exhibit their car now.

Trophies will be awarded for 'Best Classic Mini' and 'Best BMW Mini'. As well as the vehicles on display, the market place will host stalls and live entertainment, making the Mini Meet a great day out for all the family.

Exhibitors can register for a place at west-norfolk.gov.uk/minimeet

Classic Car Day - Sunday 8 September 2024

Classic Car Day takes place on Sunday 8 September, between 10am and 4pm, and is part of the wider Heritage Open Day taking place across West Norfolk.

This well-established event was fully-booked earlier than ever last year. Over 200 vintage vehicles of all makes and ages will be on display, along with stalls and live entertainment.

Cllr Bal Anota, Cabinet member for Corporate Services, said: "These events come towards the end of our King's Lynn Summer events season and always prove hugely popular. I'm looking forward to seeing the Tuesday Market Place full of these classic cars and their proud owners, alongside residents enjoying the display and the concessions and entertainment on stage.

"Although the closing date for applications to exhibit at both events is 31 July 2024 they are likely to be booked well before then so I recommend that exhibitors get on the borough council website to book a place now."
