Boston Police Department Receives Donation of Comfort Kits From Nonprofits

Commissioner Cox joined the Boston Police Patrolman's Association and BPD officers from each of the District Stations across the City to take a delivery of comfort kits from nonprofits - Project Delta and the Massachusetts Freemasons.

The program provides First Responders comfort kits that contain several new stuffed animals and a drawstring bag.

The idea is to provide police officers and other First Responders with these kits in the event they encounter a child who needs comfort in the midst of a stressful situation. The bag is provided in the event a youth needs to take additional belongings with them.

Boston Police District officers, as well as officers in some of our specialized units, will utilize the kits for children they encounter.

We want to thank the BPPA for making the connection and the Massachusetts Freemasons and Project Delta for providing our officers with this great new tool to serve the youngest members of our community.
