Italy-Kazakhstan, Undersecretary Tripodi met Minister for Trade Shakkaliyev: excellent relations with encouraging prospects for growth

The Undersecretary of State for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Maria Tripodi, met Kazakhstan's Minister for Trade and Integration Arman Shakkaliyev.

Undersecretary Tripodi reaffirmed the excellent state of bilateral relations, pointing out that there is room for further growth, both in investment and exports. In the changed international context, Kazakhstan has acquired a geopolitical centrality that provides new interesting opportunities for Italy, despite the complex world situation, as witnessed by the visit to Rome of Kazakh President Tokayev last January.

Undersecretary Tripodi said: "Our companies are looking at Kazakhstan with growing interest and hope for a further improvement in the investment climate. Our Institutions are ready to support enterprises and collaborate with the Government to increase investment and exports, also thanks to the success of the 1st Italian-Kazakh Business Forum, co-chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Antonio Tajani, with President Tokayev."
