Fargo Public Library to Host "Josie Dances" Book Reading with Author Denise Lajimodiere on Monday, April 29

The author visit will be held at the downtown Main Library

    "Josie Dances" Reading and Author Visit with Denise Lajimodiere

Author Denise Lajimodiere will visit the downtown Main Library for a reading and discussion of her children's book, Josie Dances, on Monday, April 29, at 6 p.m.

An enrolled citizen of the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa, Lajimodiere is the North Dakota Poet Laureate. Josie Dances was the children's book selected to represent North Dakota at the 2023 National Book Festival. Lajimodiere will also include a cultural show-and-tell as part of her presentation. A book signing will follow, and books will be available for purchase. For details, contact Lori West at 701.476.5977.

This all-ages event is part of the North Dakota Great Reads from Great Places program for the National Book Festival, and is sponsored by the Library of Congress and the North Dakota Center for the Book.

Fargo Public Library events are free and open to the public. Children ages 9 and younger must be accompanied by an adult.
