EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING Expands Footprint in Africa and the Middle East.

Eng. Yehia Zakaria , Chairman and CEO of EGYPTAIR holding Co, emphasized the importance of strengthening the cooperation between EGYPTAIR and the airlines in Africa and Arab countries, seeking to increase its market share globally in line with the company's strategy to approach new markets and attract more customers.

In this context, Eng. Walid El-Khafif, Chairman and CEO of  EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING , pointed out that during the 3rd quarter 2022-2023, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING  carried out maintenance, repair and overhaul checks on eight aircraft belonging to Arab airlines and six aircraft belonging to African airlines, in a new step towards increasing its customer base and expanding its footprint in the Middle East and African region.

El-Khafif added that the company's facilities received four A320 from FlyNas the most popular Low Cost Carrier in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia . Our technical team at EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING  also conducted a heavy maintenance check for one B737-900 Aircraft recently delivered to Fly Baghdad Airlines,  the fastest growing private airline in Iraqi, where the Aircraft was also repainted with Fly Baghdad livery.

He further explained that EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING  has currently received two shop visits for two engines CFM56-7B type equipped on Boeing B737-800 aircraft belonging to Iraqi Airways the national flag Carrier of the Arab Republic of Iraq, at the Engine Repair and Overhaul complex in Cairo. The company also performed repair shop visits for two Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines belonging to Jordan Aviation, installed on their A330 aircraft which is also under a heavy maintenance check at EGYPTAIR's hangars in Cairo. 

The company also repainted a B737-700 VIP Aircraft for Sky One a private operator in the United Arab Emirates and performed a heavy maintenance check for another Airbus A300-600 Aircraft and repainted it with white color.

In a related context, EGYPTAIR MAINTENANCE & ENGINEERING  has successfully won the bidding to provide Line Maintenance Support for Royal Air Maroc flights operation at Cairo International Airport. 

The company continues its efforts to provide technical support, maintenance services and solutions for many African Airlines, where the company's hangars received the first Aircraft of Rwanda Air, to provide heavy maintenance check for its B737-800 aircraft as a start of a series of cooperation between the two companies.

El-Khafif explained that heavy maintenance checks is completed for two A330 aircraft operated by Tunisair , the national flag Carrier of the Arab Republic of Tunis, during the first quarter of 2023, and a complete overhaul check is being carried out for another A320 aircraft at EGYPTAIR's hangars in Cairo.

Also Libyan Airlines' A330 aircraft is undergoing various maintenance work inside the company's' facilities , and a heavy maintenance check was conducted for an Alpha Airlines a private Sudanese operator for its aircraft of the Boeing B737 classic type rating.

On the other hand a heavy maintenance check is currently being carried out for a SouthWind Airlines a private Turkish operator for one Boeing B777-200 type.

In addition to serving EGYPTAIR Airlines fleet in Cairo and domestic and many approved international Line Maintenance stations, as well as many Egyptian airlines.
