Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, as the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister, had a bilateral meeting with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and Minister of Economy, Planning and Development of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire

On 4 May 2024, H.E. Ms. Busadee Santipitaks, Deputy Permanent Secretary for Foreign Affairs, as the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister, had a bilateral meeting with H.E. Mr. Wautabouna Ouattara, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Integration and Ivorians Abroad of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire and Her Excellency Nialé Kaba, Minister of Economy, Planning and Development of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, during the 15th Islamic Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Banjul, Republic of The Gambia.

Both sides discussed ways to enhance Thai-Ivorian bilateral relations in all aspects, such as trade, investment, and development cooperation, as well as cooperation in multilateral fora. The Thai side informed the Ivorian side of Thailand-Africa Initiative (TAI), while the Ivorian side expressed the desire to import more rice from Thailand and to enhance human resource development cooperation with Thailand, especially in the fields of agriculture, rice farming and food processing, in order to ensure the country's food security and sustainability.
