Chairwoman McDaniel Releases New “Real America” Episode Featuring Sen. Tim Scott

The Republican National Committee (RNC) released today the fifth episode of Real America, a podcast hosted by RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel. In this episode, Chairwoman McDaniel sits down with Senator Tim Scott to discuss how the Senator from South Carolina's early life influenced his start in politics, President Trump and Republican's accomplishments for Black Americans, and how the Republican Party promotes freedom and opportunity for all Americans.

'Today, I'm honored to be speaking with someone who I've long-admired, Republican Senator Tim Scott, the first African-American in our history to serve in both the U.S. House and U.S. Senate,' said Chairwoman McDaniel. 'We're going to cover issues facing real Americans outside the bubble from school choice and growing our economy, to election integrity and how the Democrats filibustered the Senator's efforts to bring commonsense solutions to police reform.'

In the podcast, Chairwoman McDaniel and Senator Tim Scott also discuss Democrats' lies about Black Americans and voter IDs in the Georgia election integrity law.

'African Americans like it and Hispanics like it and the majority of the population likes it. Actually, voter I.D. is supported by every cohort of Americans in the country,' said Senator Scott. 'I want to make it easier to vote, but harder to cheat. I want to hold everybody to the same standard. There's nothing discriminatory about that, and yet Democrats want people to believe, who have not read the law, that there's something insidious in our objective of making it easier to vote early.'

'Real America' shares stories from outside the beltway, highlights Republican leadership, and shows how Republican policies are leading America's comeback and working for real Americans.
