National public broadcasters ZDF and CBC/Radio-Canada announce renewed partnership

ZDF and CBC/Radio-Canada today announced the renewal of the partnership agreement between the two national public broadcasters. The memorandum of understanding (MOU) focuses on two key areas:

  • Trusted news - exchanging and improving verification of news content; and
  • Scripted, factual-entertainment and documentary programming - co-development and promotion of content for linear, on-demand and digital platforms.

The renewed partnership extends over a period of three years.

About ZDF

ZDF (Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen) is Germany's national public television broadcaster. It is run as an independent non-profit corporation under the authority of the Länder, the sixteen states that constitute the Federal Republic of Germany.
