Each year the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) develops a plan for the intended use of Title XX Social Services Block Grant (SSBG) funds. The plan includes information on the persons to be served, the types of activities to be funded, and the actual and estimated expenditures for prior, current and future state fiscal years.
The SSBG program was established by the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1981, P.L. 97-35, and amended by reporting requirement changes on October 13, 1988. Each state's SSBG grant is determined by a statutory formula based on the state's population. States are fully responsible, within the limitations of the law, for determining the use of their funds.

This plan is made available for public inspection and comment. View the Proposed plan.
