International Students and Alumni Transitioning into Slovenia's Job Market

The University of Ljubljana Career Centres are inviting foreign students and alumnifrom the University of Ljubljana to the event entitled International Students and Alumni Transitioning into Slovenia's Job Market. The event will be organised on Wednesday, 17th of April 2024, at 16:00 to 18:30 at the Faculty of Social Sciences UL.

At the event we are going to talk about how to get in touch with employers in Slovenia for student's work, what are your rights and obligations and how to get a job in Slovenia after finishing your studying as an international student. Our guests will give you some advice and examples of good practices.

16:00-16:05: Welcome speech

16:05-17:40: Introduction to round table

What are the possibilities and opportunities for international students and alumni for a career in Slovenia?

Presentation of good practices and opportunities with representatives of employers, international students, alumni and other institutions:

  1. Vesna Milošević Zupaničič, e- študentski servis (e-student Service),
  2. Sandi Meke, Zavod za zaposlovanje (Employment Service of Slovenia),
  3. Urška Janc, Marija Marchan, Cosylab,
  4. Asta Ostavnik, Kotsonis Avgoutinos and Tarcio Cesar Dos Santos Franca, Novartis,
  5. Kristijan Popovski, representive of the Macedonian Students organization in Slovenia.

17:40-18:00: What are the steps:

  • For inclusion in student work? (Vesna Milošević Zupančič and Marta Sekelšek) • For employment in Slovenia after completing studies (Sandi Meke)

The event will be coordinated by Ada Čizmić and will be held in English.

The event will be recorded. By registering for the event, you agree to be photographed and recorded.

Apply through link at POPR platform where you select appropriate group. UL students can login with digital ID.

If you are not using POPR platform, the representatives from all other groups(exchange students, alumni, students without status) can login thought registration form.
