GENTEXT/REMARKS/1. On behalf of the United States Marine Corps, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to all Naval Engineers as you celebrate the 182nd Anniversary of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, 157th Anniversary of the Civil Engineer Corps, and 82nd Anniversary of the Naval Construction Forces. We are honored to join you in celebrating and take great pride in recognizing your legendary heritage.
2. Since the inception of the Naval Facilities Engineering Command, Naval Engineers have worked relentlessly delivering unparalleled technical expertise and facilities engineering services improving Marine Corps infrastructure around the globe. Your sustained efforts have enhanced Marine Corps resiliency, ensuring continued operations and support across the spectrum of conflict.
3. Established in 1942, the illustrious Seabees have built upon their legacy as force multipliers, overcoming insurmountable engineering challenges in support of our Marines. We are eternally grateful to those of you who selflessly volunteer to deploy, providing essential capabilities and support to forward deployed Marines. We are proud to join you in celebrating the rich heritage of the Naval Construction Force.
4. As we celebrate your "can do" spirit and legacy of professionalism, it is appropriate to stop and reflect upon all Navy Civil Engineers and Seabees who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our great Nation. Marines everywhere salute your heroic efforts and welcome every chance to work and fight alongside you in the greater Navy-Marine Corps Team.
