Efacec ganha contrato para conceção e construção da Central de Produção de Biogás Mönsterås na Suécia

Efacec signed an important contract with the Swedish Scandinavian Biogas Mönsterås, a subsidiary of Scandinavian Biogas Fuels International AB, thus reinforcing its presence in the Scandinavian market. The project won consists of the design, supply, assembly, testing and commissioning of the Mönsterås Biogas Production Plant. Efacec participates in a joint venture with the Swedish construction company Multibygg Sydost AB to execute the contract. Efacec's scope corresponds to more than 30 million euros, equivalent to 66% of its share in the overall value of the contract, with the remainder being the responsibility of the Swedish partner.

The project was designed to value approximately 300,000 tons of organic matter per year, mainly of bovine, pork and poultry origin, transforming it into biogas and biofertilizers. From the biogas and liquefaction upgrade unit, the plant is expected to produce around 30 tonnes of liquid biogas per day and 120 GWh per year, with a view to using it as fuel for road transport of heavy vehicles.
