The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives, Abdulla Shahid sends message of felicitations to Kamina Johnson Smith, Minister for Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade of Jamaica, on the occasion of the 60th Independence Day of Jamaica.

Minister's message reads as follows:

"It gives me great pleasure to convey warm greetings and sincere good wishes of the Government and the people of Maldives, and on my own behalf, to Your Excellency, the Government and the people of Jamaica, on the occasion of the 60th Independence Day of Jamaica.

As fellow SIDS, the Maldives and Jamaica cooperate closely on matters of mutual importance and it is my sincere hope that the strong relations that exist between our two countries will continue to grow in the days ahead.

Please accept, Excellency, the assurances of my highest consideration."
