Long Grove and Ela Construction

Construction is starting soon to improve the intersection of Ela Road and Long Grove Road in the villages of Barrington and Deer Park. Traffic signals will be installed at the intersection, along with a southbound left-turn lane on Ela Road and right and left-turn lanes on Long Grove Road. New bike lanes and a shared-use path between Fox Glove Lane North and the Cuba Marsh Forest Preserve are part of the construction.

Construction signs are being installed this week, and crews will soon be installing replacement culvert crossings. This will require daily lane closures during the first weeks of May.

Motorists are urged to drive carefully, be aware of the new traffic pattern, flaggers working, and of trucks entering and exiting the job site. Learn more
