Daggerwing Delights in May

Daggerwing Nature Center is operated by the Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation Department. It is located in Burt Aaronson South County Regional Park at 11435 Park Access Road, off Cain Boulevard between Glades Road and Yamato Road, west of Boca Raton. Please register online at www.pbcparks.com; under "Online Services," click on Register/Pay for Program. All participants are required to sign a Program Participation Form before each program. Activities promote environmental awareness, conservation, and recreation.

FLORIDA ANIMALS: PURPLE MARTIN CONSERVATION

May is Purple Martin Awareness Month! Join us for a special presentation by Shelly Rozenberg, our local Audubon Everglades Purple Martin Program Coordinator. This will be a day dedicated to learning all about Purple Martin conservation, including a presentation and a tour of our housing and conservation area.

MOTHER NATURE & ME: START YOUR GARDEN

Get ready to jump and shout with Mother Nature through stories, live animals, activities, and a craft specifically designed for toddlers and preschoolers!

INTRO TO ARCHERY
Saturday, May 18, 10:30 a.m.
Ages 8+, $10/participant (Reservations required)
Join USA Archery-certified staff and learn about the exciting sport of archery. This program teaches archery safety, skills, and proper use of a bow and arrow before practicing on the range. Equipment is provided. Note: Bows may be difficult to pull for smaller children.

RADICAL REPTILES: SNAKES
Saturday, May 25, 10:30 a.m.
All ages, $5/participant (Reservations required)
Join a naturalist for a family-friendly program focusing on the amazing world of snakes! Learn about these slithering serpents and meet one up close and personal.
