Esteemed Colleague,

It is with great sadness that I learned of the flooding caused by the recent heavy rains throughout your country, inflicting enormous suffering on so many of your people through the loss of lives and the destruction of homes.

On behalf of the House of Representatives of Japan, I would like to express our sincere sympathies and condolences for the victims, their families, and all those affected. I pray for the swift recovery and reconstruction of the devastated areas.
