On September 26, 2024, the 11th round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan and Egypt was held in Tashkent.
The delegations were headed by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhromjon Aloyev and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Egypt Ahmed Shaheen.
The parties noted with satisfaction the dynamic development of Uzbek-Egyptian relations of comprehensive partnership and the expansion of multifaceted cooperation. Particular attention was paid to the practical implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visit to Cairo in February 2023.
The meeting confirmed mutual interest in realizing the existing significant potential for strengthening partnership in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
Mutual readiness to take joint measures to effectively use the potential of economic diplomacy was expressed. It was noted that the Uzbek-Egyptian Business Forum, which was recently held in our country, will take cooperation to a qualitatively new level.
During the meeting, the parties paid special attention to such issues as supporting direct contacts between businessmen of the two countries, increasing the mutual flow of tourists, expanding ties in such priority areas as education, innovation, and healthcare.
At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on international and regional issues, as well as on the schedule and agenda of upcoming joint events at various levels.
