TRAFFIC ALERT - New Castle County - UPDATE--Southbound Rt 13 to Close for Several Weeks
The Delaware Department of Transportation (DelDOT) announces to motorists that Crews will be implementing Phase 5 of the Rogers Road Reconstruction. US Rt 13, South Market Street, southbound, will be CLOSED between New Sweden Street and I-495 starting Monday, April 8th and ending on or near Friday, May 24th. Local traffic only will be allowed between New Sweden Street and Blue Coats Drive. A detour will be posted.
The current phase on US Rt 13, South Walnut Street, northbound, between S. Heald Street and Millside Road will reopen prior to implementing Phase 5.
In addition, there will be daily lane closures on NB Rt 13 between S. Heald Street and Millside Drive during working hours.
Motorists should use caution and expect minor delays in the area.
